Samsung: Galaxy Fold sold out in some Russian cities on day one
MOSCOW, Oct 29 (PRIME) -- The first weekend of sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Fold with a foldable screen showed a high demand for the flagship smartphone in Russia and the device was sold out in a number of cities within the first day, a spokesperson for Samsung Electronics told PRIME late Monday.
“The first weekend of the Galaxy Fold sale in Russia revealed a high interest in the product. For example, the product was sold out in Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, and Kazan on the first day. The product was out in half of stores in Moscow by the end of the weekend as well. From our part, we’re working on supplying all points of sale with the gadgets quickly,” the spokesperson said.
Sales started on October 25 with a price tag of 159,990 rubles in Samsung stores and outlets of electronics retailer M.Video.
A high demand was seen already during pre-ordering, held on October 4–7.
